Our Story
When and How we Started
Our story began back in 2002, when Tass 1 Trees started as a small nursery producing a carefully selected range of fruit trees. As demand grew, so did the dream—and eventually, we simply needed more room for all those trees!
In 2014, the nursery packed its pots and put down new roots in Middle Swan. The larger property gave Tass 1 Trees the space to grow more varieties and produce thousands of plants each year.
What began as a labour of love has since grown into a much-loved local nursery—and today, we are proud to continue that story as a locally owned, family-operated garden centre.
We are passionate about helping Perth gardeners bring more beauty, greenery and homegrown goodness into their backyards. Whether you have a large garden, a small courtyard or just enough room to squeeze in “one more plant,” we would love to help.
Our nursery is home to fruiting plants from Australia and around the world, including plenty of unusual and hard-to-find varieties. You will also discover Australian natives, ornamentals, exotic plants, herbs and seasonal favourites. Some plants are grown right here at the nursery, while others are carefully sourced from trusted growers locally and interstate.
We also stock garden ornaments, whole and half wine barrels, soils, fertilisers and other garden essentials—everything you need to give your backyard a fair dinkum makeover.
